ReConnect 2025
Compassionate Inquiry Experience Romania
October 18-19, 2025 | Aula Magna, Polytechnics University Bucharest
What is ReConnect?
When we speak about addiction, we are really speaking about a disconnection from ourselves, a way we cope with overwhelming events and experiences in our lives. Whether it’s substances, alcohol, work, social media, or other behaviors, the underlying need remains the same: to be accepted as we are and to belong.
Dr. Gabor Maté invites us to shift the question. Don't ask yourself Why the addiction? Ask Why the pain?
At our ReConnect event, part of Compassionate Inquiry Experience, we invite a new perspective: instead of reinforcing isolation or stigma, we gently explore the pain beneath our coping strategies.
We bring together national and international leaders, practitioners, and changemakers to reflect on what isn't working, and to ask what we might do differently, as individuals and as a society. Through honest conversations, practical workshops, and live demonstrations, we explore both what we can offer ourselves and how we can support family members or others in pain. We create a space for new ideas, perspectives, and genuine connection to emerge.
